Submission Requirements
To be considered for publication on MetaphorSpace, please ensure that your submission meets the following requirements:
- Your story must be written in English. MetaphorSpace does not currently accept submissions in other languages.
- Stories from any subgenre of speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy, horror, surrealism, magical realism, weird fiction, etc.) are welcome.
- The target audience must be adults. works aimed at children or young adults are not accepted.
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Shunn Standard Manuscript Format.
- Files must be in a Microsoft Word-compatible format.
- The maximum length is 10,000 words. Exceptions may be considered at our discretion.
By submitting your work to MetaphorSpace, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- You are submitting your story for consideration for translation into Persian (Farsi) and publication on MetaphorSpace.
- You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to submit this work and to grant MetaphorSpace permission to translate, prepare, and publish it in accordance with its editorial guidelines and publication schedule.
- You understand that MetaphorSpace is a not-for-profit project and is unable to provide financial compensation for accepted works.
- You understand that, unless otherwise provided by the author or another artist, illustrations accompanying stories on MetaphorSpace are generated using AI.
Please note that our official publication language is Persian (Farsi). However, all editorial correspondence will take place in English, so there is no need to machine-translate your queries or bio into Persian. Simply submit your work and communications in English.
